I personally really hate these social networking sites when they get out of hand. They're perfect for keeping in touch with people far away, but when they get abused--like, people using them ALL THE TIME, wasting their lives on it, that's when I really, really hate it. I actually wrote an essay on it. Let's see if I remember the codes. click here if you wanna read it.
I have facebook, but I use it mostly for keeping in touch with family, and I ignore a lot of friend requests. Heehee.

I refuse to use twitter. I think being a part of one social network is enough.

Anne, I completely agree with the fact that they are overused. I use both of them a lot now, just because I am studying in Paris (my family and friends are in England) so I catch up with them through FB. Also, people at uni, because Paris is a biiiig place we organise events and stuff through FB and Twitter (different people have different ones), therefore it's kind of essential here. A lot of people don't have credit on their phones most of the time!

I will take a look at your essay when I take a break from my pre-reading for the next uni year, at some point today! x
